The People Place is Born:
At a brand launch on Tuesday 17th July 2017, the long awaited announcement of The Busselton Family Centre’s new name and brand was released. Some 80 guests attended the launch and enjoyed a lunch supplied by ‘Supper Road’ and what a gourmet treat it was. Guest were ‘Welcomed to Country’ by the wonderful, Gloria Hill while Libby Mattem MLC opened the proceedings and Mayor Grant Henley was on hand to cut the celebration cake. People Place, Chairman, Tony Robinson told guests that the new programing and strategic plan commenced in June 2016 and has taken almost 12 months to come to maturity.
“It is a matter of becoming self sufficient”, Tony said, “State government no longer have the resources to sustain us and it is now up to us as a community to ensure the success of Centres such as ours. We are taking a whole new course and we are encouraged by the help given to us by the City. Mayor Henley, Councillors and the City team have been first class in supporting our cause and the new branding is more than a symbolic gesture.”
New programs, business sponsorships and a whole new approach for the community is planned. “Its more than a face-change, its a whole new ball game and we’re in it to win” Tony commented later.
Created by International Award winning agency Jack in the box, the new brand was welcomed as a modern projection which would take the organisation forward into and beyond the 2000’s
